We have a 9week old chocolate lab puppy named Molly. We have been working on crate training her at night, and house training her during the day. The first few days went fine with the crate at night and she woke every 2-3 hours, whimpered, we took her outside, she peed or pooped, and went back to bed in her crate. The last 3 nights she has been pooping in her crate even though we had her outside for half an hour before bed hoping she would poop beforehand. We have her crate sectioned off so she only has enought room to turn around and lie down, and when she poops we use vinegar and water to take away the smell in hopes that she will not smell it again and trigger another accident. Is there anything else we can do and/or consider when trying to get her to stop pooping in her crate? I should also add that she is doing well for housetraining with peeing, but pooping is hit and miss...:blink:
