My dog had gone 4 years never touching the water. One day we decided to get her more comfortable with swimming. This started with running onto the first step of the swimming pool wearing her leash, and each time she got more comfortable we went a step deeper. One day we went swimming in a dam and I think she thought we were leaving her behind because she ended up swimming to the other side with us ( with a very unnatural clutching the water for her life-type style. She then went on to love water and took every opportunity to go swimming How did you get your dogs comfortable with swimming?
