Hi Everyone! I just found out that I have family visiting next week and I'm concerned about my Husky's problem behavior of jumping on people, especially new people. She gets so happy to see them that she forgets her manners and the excitement lasts a really long time! She doesn't jump on me or people she sees regularly anymore as we've been able to train her to not do that but when she sees someone she hasn't seen in a long time or a new person, she just won't stay down. I'm mostly concerned because the family visiting has a very young child. I plan on trying to keep the child away as much as possible but it's still behavior that I would like to curb. I'm just not sure how I can train her to not jump on new people in advance. Any thoughts?
