How do you train your dog to drop their toy when you play fetch
Hi guys! So my dog doesn’t want to drop his toy when we play fetch. He want me to chase him and I don’t know how to train him to drop his toy when he runs back to me. Do you guys have any tips? What are some effective techniques for teaching a dog to "drop it" or "leave it"?

While using treats, I’ve given him the “release” hand signal while also commanding it. It’s still taking time but he’s learned quickly but can be selective when treats are not available. What have you done to help this for your dog?
