Our 6 month old adopted Border Collie mix is very bright and learning each day. However, unless we are with our older dog, he will only walk so far on leash before putting the breaks on and sitting down. I have tried luring him with treats to no avail. Any suggestions as to what is going on and how to overcome it?
I have a very small Yorkie and she started training on pee pads. I moved the pads to the door. Most of the time she will go outside when I take her, however, she never alerts me when she needs to go. How do I get her to do that? Also, I’m at the door with the pee pads. How do I get them out the door?
My dog Dash likes to jump on people. I have worked with him on the collar training with beep and vibrate (I don’t like the shock) but have used it a few times when he has ran in the street for his safety. I don’t want him to hurt anyone how do I stop this bad behavior? Thank Cindy
Hi! We recently rescued a 4 1/2 year old female English Bulldog. Based on what we have discovered, she was part of a puppy mill that was shut down. She was left outside, minimal human contact and absolutely no training. We have been successful in teaching her the basics, with the help of our 4 other furbabies but we are struggling with housebreaking. She goes outside multiple times, with the others, 7 times out of 10 she will not go potty. Even if she does, as soon as she is left unattended or at bedtime, she will potty on the floor. I understand that they are notorious for “taking their time” when they go outside but we are seeking help in getting thru this last hurdle so that we don’t have messes every morning or whenever we return home. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. She might be a bit of a challenge but we just adore her and she knows it. Thank you in advance.
Are there any recommendations for training two puppies at once? While this is temporary, I don’t want to lose ground or have them develop bad habits. I have two female golden puppies who are 13 weeks old. I am thinking one will be going to her home (my ex husbands house) in about a week. Do I just hang on? Lol. There is a lot of roughhousing, barking and ignoring my commands going on here. We try to do things separately but its difficult with kids going here and there. It generally falls on me. Any thoughts would be helpful. We got these girls knowing they would live at separate homes but I was hoping we would have them there by now.
My 10 month old puppy constantly bites my hands. She grabs at them when walking , sitting and when she wants to play. It gets painful a d I can’t find a way to stop this behavior

Hi there. My 2 year old female Shih tzu is perfect in every way (for me)..we are two peas in a pod. My biggest issue is whenever I leave, she is inconsolable and nothing I do helps. I have a video camcorder so I can assess… I’ve tried many things and combos of things… I rarely leave because of this and I’m starting to feel smothered. I’m shooting for up to 4 hour time periods where I can leave her without her being so distressed. Any help will be so appreciated.
